Who is RBA?

1994

The Beginning

RBA opens as a full-service architecture and interior design firm.  Notable first clients included Nike, AAA Washington, Coldwell Banker Bain and a host of tech and biotech companies.

2000-2005

First Furniture Sales

As early adopters of sustainable design; we expand that focus by matching one client's furniture needs with furniture another client no longer needs.

2006-07

Safeco Sells Campus

RBA decommissions the Safeco Symetra campus. The cubicles and much of the ancillary furniture is re-furbished for the new King County Chinook office building.  The project includes almost 1,600 refurbished cubicles and a significant amount of support furniture - all delivered on a fast-track schedule. The savings to taxpayers is significant and we eventually provide over 5,000 cubicles to the County.

2007

RBA Furniture Solutions

RBA's furniture arm becomes incorporated to identify it as a separate brand. The furniture business continues to grow and over next 15 years thousands of refurbished cubicles are installed.

2017

Glass Walls

RBA Furniture adds architectural walls to the product line, expanding our turnkey capabilities. RBA installs two full floors of glass wall for Avalara in downtown Seattle. Design, furniture and glass walls - all delivered on a fast-track schedule with no coordination problems.

2019

King County

RBA specifies and delivers furniture for the new King County Children and Family Justice Center.  This $3M project consists of four floors of furniture.

2020

Pandemic

COVID marks a new challenge for everyone in America.  RBA pivots to manufacturing safety screens to keep essential workers safe on the job. King County turns to RBA to keep 200+ staff and volunteers safe in their election facility. The same strategies are used in public health and court support facilities.

2024

30 Year Anniversary

RBA celebrates 30 years in business. Post-pandemic clients include ZUM Transportation where a blend of pre-owned and new furniture is installed at locations nationwide. The Puyallup Tribe embraces sustainability and enjoys over 100 re-furbished cubicles in their new 4 story administration building. We look forward to another 30 years of being leaders in sustainable design and furniture.
