Who is RBA?
The Beginning
We started as a full service architecture and interior design firm. Notable first clients included Nike, AAA Washington, Coldwell Banker Bain and a host of tech companies.
First Furniture Sales
As early adopters of sustainable design, we matched our new clients needs with furniture our existing clients no longer needed.
Safeco Sells Campus
RBA decommissioned the Safeco campus furniture and re-used it in the new King County Chinook office building. The project includes 1,600 refurbished cubicles and support furniture - all delivered on a fast track schedule.
RBA Furniture
RBA Furniture becomes incorporated to identify as a separate brand.
Glass Walls
RBA Furniture adds architectural walls to the product line. As the primary interior designers for our first wall client, tech company Avalara, we help them grow from 85 to over 600 employees. The turn-key project included two full floors of furniture and glass walls.
King County
RBA provides furniture for the new King County Children and Family Justice Center. This $3M project consists of four floors of furniture.
Pandemic
COVID marks a new challenge for everyone in America. RBA pivots to manufacturing safety screens to keep essential workers (including King County Elections) safe on the job.
30 Year Anniversary
After adding a national client and a tribal client to our long list of happy customers, RBA celebrates 30 years in business at the new office just north of Pike Place Market. We're looking forward to another 30 years designing in the ever-changing world of the built environment!!!
